Matthew Miklaucich – Legal Aid Solicitor

I am a Solicitor and Director of Milner Elledge specialising in cases concerning children and Domestic Abuse in East London and Essex. I have over 20 years of experience in family law.
I pride myself on my ability to form strong working relationships with my clients, to make them feel at ease with me and for them to know that I will work hard for them to champion their cause and to achieve the best result possible. I provide realistic advice and ensure that my clients understand the issues involved.
I try to be available to clients and as quickly responsive as possible, whether by phone, or by email and am very happy to work as hard as I possibly can to get them out a situation that has caused pain to them and their children as soon as possible and to help them towards a new life free from abuse, threats and violence. This is work I take very seriously and find very satisfying.
I have many years experience as an advocate and have conducted cases at court at every level, including final hearings lasting for multiple days. This experience at court allows me to anticipate what will be said by judges and opponents and to put that knowledge and experience to work for my clients to ensure that they have the strongest case with the best chance of success.
In cases concerning children, as a parent myself, I understand the very high emotions that are involved in a dispute with another parent. Wherever possible, I work with my clients to try to find a way past these disputes and towards a happy, stable and settled life for their children. The road to this outcome may not always be straightforward, but my years of experience and expertise mean that I can guide clients through it every step of the way in a way that works.
I have a close working relationship with a variety of different domestic abuse support agencies and they, and their clients, know that they can rely on me to get to work as quickly as possible, with a sensitive and understanding approach throughout my running of a case.
