Bobby Sahota
Bobby lives in Worcestershire with her 11 year old son. She is an Independent Financial Adviser and her career in Financial Services spans over two decades.
She says, “I applied to join the board at ASPN as I understand the stigma in the Asian community around single parents. I am so fortunate that I have a supportive family and friends so although I’ve not personally experienced it, I have witnessed others that have not had the support from their family/community and both the emotional and financial pressures they have faced.
I feel that with my skills and experience in Financial Services I can add real value to ASPN. I have coached and mentored individuals over the years in a 121 and group setting as well as previously elected and completing a 4 year term as Parent Governor at my son’s previous school.
I live a fairly active lifestyle and enjoy fitness, sport and travel. I’m on a journey of self-discovery and always up for a new challenge. This year’s highlight was competing in a white-collar boxing event, in which not only did I win my fight but also received an award for raising the most money for Cancer research.”
